What do you mean, 1 find per year? Every year, no matter when they joined? And I wouldn't consider 1 find a year very active. But I just pointed out a week or two ago that only 78, people worldwide have found more than Geocaches, according to cacherstats. I'd say you have to be a pretty serious and active Geocacher to find caches.
That's really not a lot. If you ever wondered why my name is TheWhiteUrkel, there you go. I don't know why, but I just assumed that more people maybe , had found at least a couple of hundred caches since they joined Geocache.
I have to say that I'm quite surprised. Well, I have logged finds, and if I continue on my current pace, I should easily pass the " mark" before the end of the year. A registered geocacher does not mean an active geocacher. I know a lot of people that have registered, found 1 or 2 caches and then forgotten all about it or just didn't get the hang of it.
I've seen this question and subsequent trail and wonder, does anyone know how or where I find out how many geocaching. You seem to be forgetting that geocaching is a worldwide activity, Bittsen. That would make it at least That is most certainly balogna! How silly it is to say there are only geocachers, I reckon there must be at least a good I know quite a few people who started, found maybe one or two, then never found another cache. I am at around though.
I wonder if ProjectGC has anything about this. I find Project GC pretty useful for random things like this. For each souvenir, they indicate how many cachers earned it. Looking at this past summer's Hidden Creatures, , people earned the Big Foot souvenir.

Geocaching in Finland. Rules of responsible geocaching Remember the rules of responsible geocaching created by the geocaching community: I do not pose an unnecessary danger to myself or other geocachers. I take account of Everyman's rights and duties. I comply with the principles of litter-free hiking and make a minimal impact on nature and the environment when searching for and placing caches.
I respect the rights of property owners and residents, and ask permission whenever necessary. I will ensure that geocaches remain safe, meaning that I will hide the cache in the same place and in the same way as it was when I found it, I will restore the camouflage if the cache is too visible or the camouflage is clearly damaged, and I will inform the cache owner of all cache repair needs through the geocaching community.
I will also remember to keep travel bugs, the precious articles circulating from one geocache to another, in circulation and to log any travel bugs found or left, in accordance with the instructions.
