What makes muse so good

It must get really boring seeing the same thing again and again though? I probably view it more for the staging than most people. Yeah, in the spirit of that moment, they saved my life. I felt like a right dick after speaking to Sophie.

Her love of Muse is fairly unquestionable. It also made me question the validity of, basically, my entire career to date. Before I sank into glumness, I came across this happy couple below , who had travelled all the way from Norwich for the night.

Noisey: Why are you huge fans of Muse? How many times a week do you listen to them? Liz: Every day. All the way to work and all the way home. How do they make you feel? Liz: Good and happy. You say something, Dave. Dave: Yeah they do a good light show. You'd be amazed how many people have told me how much they enjoy the staging and the lights.

I felt magnetically drawn to them. Noisey: Hey! How you doing? How long have you been into Muse? Since I was at school, really. I got into them when they started getting really big.

When I was a kid I used to get up early to do a paper round and watch Scuzz or Kerrang! Yeah, definitely. All right, all right, I give up. I'll check out some stuff if you just shut up already.

Where do I start? That depends! Muse has covered most genres, most moods, so effectively that any one starting point for any one person can't be prescribed. So in lieu of that, here are three different sample menus. To kick things off, Muse's earliest perfect work comes in Origin.

You can barely go wrong. I know it's a lot, so I made you a playlist. I hear ya. Also vying for that title is "Stockholm Syndrome," my personal favorite.

You won't find "Dead Star" on a studio album, but you'll find it in your head for the next fifteen days. Here's a playlist of the noise ones. No one does weird quite like Muse. The "Exogenesis Trilogy" is three songs that close out The Resistance that play like a full-on symphony.

Muse dared end their fifth album with three distinct songs that departed fully from their usual style. A baller move. All the coolest and weirdest Muse songs can be found here. I will not listen to these. There's so much more, too. It rocked. So, what are you waiting for!?

I urge everyone to see Muse at least once live before they die. They're unbelievable. The time that acrobats floated above the crowd at Wembley stadium Gotta start off with a banger, and this really was a highlight of their massive show. Things they would never say if they were in person. I think that a lot of the social media that set up, in about 10 , 20 years are going to be completely different and I think the ability to actually connect with people in a more realistic way, a more personable way, it will improve things and people will become more probably become nicer again.

We created a band called The Jaded Hearts Club. We had Graham Coxon there, sometimes we play with Miles Kane. We had Nic Cester, the singer from Jet, turn up. We did a few songs and that was a good laugh. I like doing that or I like taking the dog for a walk.

What gets your goat, and how do you process that — are you someone who takes everything in their stride, deep breath and carry on, or do you confront problems head on and blitz through them? You know, I think I tend to switch off from it a fair bit. I guess, just sort of the way society is structured and the way the world is tends to drive humans towards being a slave to a system, you know, working all the time and being obsessed with trying to make money.
